Fujitsu unveiled a new 12.1" ultraportable notebook - the LOOX R.

Engadget writes this unit weighs only 1.27kg (2.8 pounds) and features a 12.1" LCD display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

The LOOX R has a Intel Penryn processor and features up to 4GB of memory, a 120GB HDD, dual-layer DVD writer, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g WiFi, SDHC slot, FireWire, fingerprint sensor, PCMCIA and more.

One of the interesting things is the extremely long battery life. Fujitsu claims this laptop can achieve a battery life of up to 9.7 hours. The Fujitsu LOOX R will be available in January.
