DigiTimes reports SiS's earnings are up while VIA is down:
Silicon Integrated System (SiS) announced non-consolidated revenues in January amounted to NT$710 million (US$22.40 million), an increases of 33.46% on month and 51.39% on year. In addition to the rising demand for PC chipsets, the company also benefited from the sale of its previous memory module inventory.

Rising PC demand in January helped shipments of SiS's chipsets, but due to a fewer number of working days in February due to the Lunar New Year holiday, the company expects its performance will drop during the month, while March will be level with January, according to sources at SiS.

VIA Technologies announced its January non-consolidated revenues amounted to NT$950 million, rising 36.3% on month but dropping 27.3% on year.
