HP wants to get into the ultra-portable notebook market with its 8.9" 2133 model.
According to leaked images obtained by Engadget, the 2133 features an 8.9" glossy display (1366x768), 95% full-size keyboard, ExpressCard slot, WLAN and an integrated webcam. An SSD will be optional with the device and will most likely be of the 1.8" variety. Users can choose either Windows Vista or Linux for the operating system.

When it comes to styling, the HP 2133 makes the ASUS Eee PC look rather plain and boring. The 2133 features a smooth, sleek shape and has an exterior made from anodized aluminum. According to HP, the exterior is also free of screws to further emphasis the smooth, clean look.

As is usually the case with leaked information on future products, there is no word on pricing for the new ultra-portable device. Given the features and aluminum body, the 2133 is likely to be priced well above that of the Eee PC which starts at a mere $299. Opting for the SSD is sure to push prices even higher into the stratosphere.
