Asus released a new EAH3850 OC Gear graphics card that features a module that enables real-time GPU and memory overclocking.
This new version of the OC Gear will allow users to overclock both the memory clock and GPU clock for greater graphical enhancements. Additionally, the ASUS EAH3850 OC GEAR incorporates the fastest DDR3 0.8ns memory modules, and as such, will provide users with over 12% enhanced overclocking performance and gaming experiences. This powerful graphics card also utilizes the latest thermal solution – the Glaciator Fansink; that utilizes a unique fansink design to keep GPU temperatures cool.

With an easy-to-read mirror LED display, the OC GEAR displays real-time graphics card information that includes the GPU temperature and current FPS (Frames Per Second). In addition, the user-friendly knob allows timely adjustments for the user to switch menu options that include volume, GPU clock, memory clock, and fan speeds to suit different game requirements. The OC GEAR is the perfect tool to conveniently overclock, control system settings, and keep an eye on temperatures from the front of the chassis. Installing the OC GEAR is also hassle-free – even for first-time PC DIYers. Users simply need to install the OC GEAR into the chassis through an internal 4-pin USB connector to convey power and information to the motherboard, and that’s all that’s required – it’s that simple!

Equipped with the fastest DDR3 0.8ns memory modules and the ability to overclock the memory clock, the EAH3850 OC GEAR edition provide gamers with the best overclocking experiences available. The high speed capabilities of the super fast memory modules allow the best overclocking capabilities for memory speeds – boosting 3DMark06 scores from 9883 to 11259 – an astonishing more than 12% improvement; while the GPU and memory clock are enhanced from 668MHz to 840MHz, and 1.65GHz to 2.1GHz, respectively.

The ASUS EAH3850 OC GEAR/HTDI/512M utilizes the uniquely designed Glaciator Fansink that effectively transfers heat away from the GPU for cooler operations – much like real-life glacial storms. It is also half quieter than generic designed fansinks – catering to users who require maximum cooling without excessive fan rotation noise. Additionally, the ASUS EAH3850 OC GEAR/HTDI/512M also comes equipped with the specially designed Cross heatsink that can lower Power IC temperatures by 11°C on average to provide more stable overall performance.
