Intel 22nm chips to use 450mm wafers

Posted on Tuesday, March 04 2008 @ 01:46:04 CET by

The Inq claims Intel is planning to use 450mm wafers when it switches to 22nm CPUs:
NO SOONER DOES one land in Europe than one runs into stoned Intel process people stumbling out of Amsterdam cafes.

They all say the same thing: "Stop waving your arms about like that."

Quickly followed by: "We are going to 450mm wafer at the 22nm node you know. "
