GeForce 9 can be switched off

Posted on Friday, March 07 2008 @ 19:15:26 CET by

NVIDIA says its GeForce 9-series cards can be powered down in Hybrid Power mode to save power:
Nvidia told us yesterday that one of the important features of their Geforce 9-series is that you will be able to switch the cards off, and in Hybrid power mode you will be able to save power by shutting down the card completely.

This will have a positive impact on your power bill, especially when you don't play games and this is one of the key features of this new generation.
