S3 Graphics announced a partnership with German distributor Memorysolution to ship Chrome 400 series GPUs to the European market.
The first S3 Graphics Chrome 400 Series graphics cards to be shown in Europe may be seen at Memory Solutions’ booth at CeBIT in Hannover this week, in Hall 25, booth D40 (P100).

Graphics cards based on the Chrome 400 Series will be launched to European customers through Memorysolution’s extensive distribution channels in Q2’08, and will feature GDDR2 and GDDR3 memory from Qimonda, the third largest global supplier of memory products. With these key relationships in place, S3 Graphics is well positioned to gain market share in the highly competitive discrete graphics industry in Europe.

“We are proud to be chosen as the selected partner by S3 Graphics to launch the Chrome 400 Series in Europe,” said Henning Stork, Purchasing Director ppa., Memorysolution GmbH. “This partnership enables us to expand our activities in the European market, and also strengthens the cooperation between Qimonda AG and Memorysolution GmbH.”

“Memorysolution are an invaluable ally in bringing to market a series of products that will offer customers the best price to performance ratio in the graphics industry, bringing true Hi-Def entertainment and DirectX 10.1 gaming to ever smaller form factor mobile devices and power-efficient cost effective desktop systems,” said Dr. Ken Weng, GM of S3 Graphics. “S3 Graphics is also proud to partner with Qimonda, with their acclaimed reputation as a supplier of high performance memory parts, for its Chrome 400 Series processors”.

Highlighting the best performance per watt in the industry, potential customers and media are welcome to join Memory Solution at CeBit for a taste of the future of Hi-Def entertainment and gaming.
