MSI presented its upcoming 10" Wind notebook at CeBIT last week.

This notebook will compete against the Asus Eee PC and will be based on the Intel Shelton platform. Initially the operating system will be Linux but later MSI will also ship Wind notebooks with Windows XP

Pricing depends on the specifications; the cheapest model will be available for 299EUR and a more powerful version will be sold for up to 699EUR. Users will be able to choose between 1GHz and 1.6GHz Intel Atom processors, by default the notebooks will feature 2.5" hard drives but users will be able to order the Wind with more expensive solid state disks.

The Wind notebook will feature 1GB of memory and will sport a very good battery life of 6-7 hours with a 6-cell battery.
