BenQ presented a new 15.4" notebook - the Joybook A53. Unfortunately this model still features the old Core 2 Duo T7250 processors.
Pulse of the City
The Joybook’s distinctive design was meticulously crafted to reflect the austerity of the city as well as the soul of its user – an important and deciding feature that will appeal to the stylish consumer.

Sleekly etched on the brushed aluminum band across the notebook’s lid and likewise echoed the same brushed metal finish on the palm rest with exquisite arcs imprinted on the touchpad . This graceful motif was inspired by the dynamic interaction and exchange between people in the real and virtual worlds – via crossroads, freeways, and Internet. The orange glow of the power button further represents the warm interpersonal hustle and bustle among city companions, and the lively pulse of the city beneath its cold anonymous exterior.

The lustrous display bezel adopts the latest RHCM (Rapid Heat Cycle Molding) process, and the high-gloss LCD screen further conjures the A53’s steely beautifully holistic design.

"The A53 consummates a metropolitan aesthetic that at once captures both the worldly detachment of the city and its underlying human soul and liveliness," said Manfred Wang, Director of BenQ Lifestyle Design Center.

Integrated Brilliance on View
BenQ’s visual display expertise additionally amplifies all applications from videoconferencing to charts and diagrams. Proprietary UltraVivid Technology with Display Brilliance Enhancement Film (DBEF™) lights up the 15.4” widescreen in vibrant, razor-sharp picture quality that is always perfect, even for brightly-lit environments. An industry-best 8-millisecond response time display fast-action games and dynamic movies from the Joybook’s PowerDVD in clean, fluid, artifact-free brilliance.

Integrated Ergonomic Keyboard
BenQ engineers have even elevated the basic tool of staying connected – the keyboard. An integrated numerical keypad to the right of a full-sized alphanumeric keyboard gives the Joybook A53 a considerable ergonomic and productivity advantage over other laptops. In addition, key spacing is actually greater than standard desktop keyboards, and the keys themselves are 20% larger for greater typing ease and comfort.

Portal to Community
While the visual stylings of the A53 symbolize human connection in the metropolis, it is the A53’s select technologies that make it a functioning reality. Users will enjoy the intimacy of community, whether across town or across the world, with the Joybook’s well-thought connectivity features, including integrated webcam (0.3MP with Arcsoft WebCam Companion 2.0 and Magic i Visual Effects), speakers (1.5W x 2) and microphone, with smart noise suppression and echo cancellation. A WLAN card enables quick and stable office or hotspot connection for ultimate wireless convenience. Users can easily go online to share music, e-mail, video and life through high-speed Wi-Fi networks without the limitations of landline cables. With the A53, BenQ brings cosmopolitan enjoyment to today’s digital lifestyle.
