DigiTimes reports the entry-level Atom 230 desktop processor from Intel will be priced at only $29 in 1,000-unit quantities.
The CPU is expected to launch in the second quarter this year. Asustek Computer's E-DT is expected to adopt the CPU, while other desktop PC makers are expected to follow its lead with similar low-cost products soon, noted the sources.
