MSI P7N2 Diamond motherboard unveiled

MSI has released its P7N2 Diamond motherboard, this board features the NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI chipset. It supports 3-way SLI and uses MSI's GreenPower Design. The high-end MSI P7N2 Diamond is equipped with a brand new circu-pipe cooling system, Hi-c CAP (next generation solid capacitors), onboard soft-touch buttons for reset & power, CMOS and a Creative Sound Blaster X-FI-Xtreme audio card.
Next generation technology support
The MSI P7N2 diamond has full support for the 45nm Penryn Intel Quad Core CPU and offers more benefits to multimedia and multitasking by enhancing the performance and reducing the wait time for any kind of applications. The new EPP 2.0 standard lets you automatically overclock the memory up to DDR3-2000 and if you combine the right memory with our improved BIOS you can go manually beyond these settings. MSI offers full support for ESA, the Enthusiast System Architecture based on an open standard.

Hi-c CAP and solid capacitors
The MSI P7N2 Diamond offers 100% “all made in Japan” high-quality solid capacitors. The PWM capacitors on the mainboards are based on Hi-C CAP (Highly-conductive polymerized Capacitor), this next generation of solid capacitors offers great overclocking potential. The impedance values of general capacitors will differ due to the operating frequency change. Most commendable of Hi-c CAP is that in all kinds of operating frequencies, this product can maintain low impedance characteristics.Hi-c CAP is suitable for mainboards with high-frequency switching power supply.

Highly Efficient Circu-Pipe and GreenPower Design
The MSI Circu-Pipe effectively reduces the high temperature from the chipset and MOSFET(field-effect transistor). This design improves the system stability and product life. The processor power supply of MSI P7N2 Diamond is based on four phases PWM IC and with MSI’s exclusive dual channel design; it can reach more than eight phase power quality and increase the efficiency of power conversion. Not only will the power supply become more stable, but also reduces the heat produced, especially during extreme overclocking.

Creative X-Fi Xtreme audio

3-way SLI ready
MSI design quad PCI-E VGA slots on the MSI P7N2 Diamond to support the Nvidia 3-way SLI technology and Nvidia Quad SLI, besides this the mainboard design offers full support for three dual slot VGA cards. The mainboard comes with PCI-E Generation 2.0 to offer a wider bandwidth. This will bring higher 3D gaming resolutions and more detailed DirectX 10 effects. The MSI mainboard has a unique PCB design which offers support for 4 PCI-E x16 slots so you can use 8 monitors.
