Eurocom has launched the D901C Phantom-X laptop, a piece of machinery you don't see every day. It is no accident that the word server is being used in the title. The Phantom-X can be configured with a server based Intel Xeon X3360 quad-core chip running at 2.83GHz (45nm, 12MB of L2 cache), 17-inch 1920x1200 display, a 2x Blu-ray burner, up to 8GB DDR2-800 of RAM, a pair of GeForce 8800M Go GTX graphics chips, three 64GB solid state disk drives (each one of these adds around $1400 to the price a piece), as well as Windows Server 2008 OS. The overall price of the laptop with all optional parts maxed out is roughly $10 000, not a bad deal for a laptop (joke).
The battery life of this system is only one hour, and that's with a twelve-cell li-ion battery pack!
