Intel Eaglelake Pre-Launch Details

TechARP published some details of Intel's upcoming 40-series chipsets. The site writes Intel will release the Eaglelake chipsets on June 2nd, a day before Computex 2008 kicks off.
Alright! We have yet again managed to obtain some inside information on the upcoming Intel Eaglelake chipsets for the LGA775 desktop platform. This is Intel's new range of chipsets for the Intel Core 2 processors, the last before the launch of the Nehalem processor at the end of this year.

In this article, we will cover everything from their official launch date to details of the chipsets and the new GMA 4500 series of integrated graphics. Yeah, I'll bet you did not realise Intel would be launching it THAT soon...

"It is interesting to note that the the CPU giant obviously felt that it would be better for them to license CrossFire X from AMD-ATI, an age-old rival; than it was to license an alternative multi-GPU technology from NVIDIA, who has so far been more of a partner than a rival."
