Belgian internet provider Telenet boosts uploadspeed to 192kbps

Telenet, the biggest Belgian cable internet provider, has started giving its Telenet Mono clients the ability to raise their uploadspeed to 192kbps, so theoretically the maximum upload speed is now 24KB/s.

This uploadspeed increase follows after the recent uploadspeed increasement from ADSL provider Belgacom (Skynet) who had raised its limits from 128kbps to 192kbps.

Notable is that you need to change this manually at my.telenet.be. Raising this setting from 128kbps to 192kbps is now free, in the past you needed to pay an additional amount for these options.

This piece of news is dedicated to our Belgian users (DVH is a Belgian site). Since Telenet hasn't yet spread out the word regarding this change in a newsletter its very possible that the majority of their users still doesn't know about this improvement.

Update:: Telenet has officialy announced this news in their newsletter on July 6.
