Microsoft showed off the multi-touch capabilities of Windows 7 at the All Things D conference. Multi-touch support seems to be one of the more exciting new features of the next version of Windows.

The software giant showed off Touchable Paint, an application that lets users paint with their fingers, and software that can organize photos or navigate maps by touch.

Microsoft also reiterated that Windows 7 will likely be released by January 2010. More info can be read at AllThingsD.
