Nordic Hardware claims they got 3DMark Vantage benchmark results of NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce GTX 260 and GeForce GTX 280 and AMD's upcoming Radeon HD 4850 and Radeon HD 4870 graphics cards.

The site says these results are not official but believes they look pretty reasonable. All the results below come from 3DMark Vantage's Xtreme profile (1920 x 1200 4AA/16AF):

Graphics card
Vantage Xtreme profile
GeForce GTX 280
41xx
GeForce GTX 260
38xx
GeForce 9800GX2
36xx
GeForce 8800 Ultra
24xx
Radeon HD 4870 XT
26xx
Radeon HD 3870X2
25xx
Radeon HD 4850 Pro
20xx
Radeon HD 3870
14xx

If these results are accurate the GeForce GTX 280 and GeForce GTX 260 will be the fastest kids on the block. We don't have the exact numbers but a GeForce GTX 280 could be more than 70 percent faster in 3DMark Vantage than the GeForce 8800 Ultra. Also interesting is that the GeForce GTX 280 scores 55% more points in 3DMark Vantage than AMD's Radeon HD 4870 XT. That's a huge gap but Nordic Hardware says AMD's cards suffer from poor drivers.
