NVIDIA's annual letter to its stockholders reveals a couple of interesting things. There's a lot of praise about their CUDA programming model and an image that says a modern GeForce GPU has approx. 1.2 billion transistors. I assume they're talking about the GT200 GPU here:
A leaked slide on the other hand claims the GeForce GTX 200 GPUs will have 1.4 billion transistors, good for 240 processing cores and 933 gigaFLOPs of processing power:
