AMD has authorized hardware sites to publish previews of the Radeon HD 4850 today, the full reviews will follow next week but today you can get an early peek at the performance of this card.

First up is a preview of the MSI Radeon HD 4850 512MB from PC Perspective, they tested the card in 3DMark Vantage, 3DMark06, Crysis and CoD4. More benchmarks will follow but the site's initial thoughts is that the card is able to match both the GeForce 8800 GT and GeForce 9800 GTX.
This rough preview of the AMD Radeon HD 4850 512MB should be enough to whet your appetite for more data on the entire HD 4800-series of GPUs as well as NVIDIA's mysterious GeForce 9800 GTX+. One thing is sure for now, the landscape of the mid-range to high-end GPU market is going to be shifting dramatically in the coming weeks and we are all in for an exciting, and probably bumpy ride.
Next is a preview from Hexus, they got their hands on the Radeon HD 4850 graphics card from Sapphire. So far they only took pictures of the card but performance figures should follow soon.
