Asian hardware site HKEPC leaked some information about Intel's upcoming Nehalem desktop processors. The first three Bloomfield CPUs may arrive in late September and according to the site the 2.66GHz model will have a price tag of only $284 while the 2.93GHz and 3.2GHz models will cost $562 and $999, respectively.

If this information is correct the 2.66GHz Nehalem will have roughly the same price tag as a Core 2 Quad Q9300 today. The DDR3 memory is still more expensive than its DDR2 predecessor but it should offer kickass bandwidth on the X58 if you use the new triple-channel DDR3 feature.
