Dell told the press that the Inspiron 910 netbook will be released this week! This device will have a 8.9" display and it's expected that you'll be able to get one for only $299.
That spec sheet says the Inspiron 910 (a.k.a. Inspiron Mini) will have a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, up to 1GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 16GB of solid-state storage, Wi-Fi, Wireless WAN, two mini-card slots, and an 8.9", LED-backlit display with a 1024x600 resolution. Dell will pre-load the netbook with either Windows XP or Ubuntu Linux, and pricing might start as low as $299—a fair bit cheaper than most similar 8.9" netbooks.
