MSI Radeon HD 4850 with quad-pipe cooling

MSI unveiled a non-reference Radeon HD 4850 graphics card with a quad-pipe cooling solution, the card features a two-slot design, a pure copper base, four 6mm thick copper heatpipes, 33 aluminum fins and a silent fan. According to MSI this new cooler results in a 65% lower temperature than the reference design at full load and half the temperature of the reference design at stand-by.
The new R4850-T2D512 Quad Pipe graphics card utilizes the latest ATI RV770 Pro GPU. With 800 stream processors and 512MB DDR3 graphics memory, it can support complex and delicate 3D processing and enable gamers to enjoy the ultimate gaming experience. It also supports ATI CrossFireX™ technology and PCI Express® 2.0 interface to provide the best performance interface for the gamers. MSI R4850-T2D512 Quad Pipe graphics card comes with the advanced UVD 2.0 video decoder core, a built-in HDCP key encryption, which supports Blu-Ray movie disc broadcast and makes 100% complete hardware acceleration to the MPEG-2/VC-1/H.264 video formats. These features significantly reduce the CPU loading, and the UVD 2.0 can simultaneously decode two video in PIP (Picture-in-Picture) mode. In addition, R4850-T2D512 Quad Pipe graphics card also can through the DVI-to-HDMI adapter to output HDMI audio and video, and supports 7.1 channel surround sound, through the adapter which can easily connect high-definition LCD TV or monitor to enjoy the experience with high-quality HD audio and video playback.
