WowWee Rovio robot ships for $300 this month

Engadget reports WowWee will unveil its Rovio robotic rover on Friday for around $300. Rovio connects to your WiFi network and transmits video and audio to any Internet capable device. The robotic sentry features a VGA webcam that can capture MPEG4 audio and has a two-way microphone and speaker that enables real-time interaction with subjects.

The robot can be programmed to patrol up to 10 customized paths and is equipped with sensors to automatically detect and avoid obstacles. The battery life of Rovio is around two hours.
