Core i7 generation will go on sale in November and Intel is doing the last preparations for a massive launch in November. Core i7 only works in X58 motherboards and it will support both SLI and Crossfire in most of its iterations.
We know it overclocks well even on air, especially Core i7 965 the 3.2GHz clocked version, but officially it only works with DDR3 1066 and not even DDR3 1333 is supported but if will work. Here is how the wafer looks.
