FUD Zilla reports overclockers Fugger & Vapor have smashed five overclocking world records in just over two hours at GoOC 2008!
As a matter of fact, they even managed to beat one of their own records set less than half an hour earlier the same day, which is no mean feat. The PCMark 04 world record now stands at 16,306 points (the first attempt was 16,099 points) with an E8600 Core 2 Duo processor and 15,106 with a Core 2 Extreme QX9770, both, of course, heavily overclocked. But the really cool thing here is the fact that the new records are about twice that of the previous record listed on Futuremark's ORB website for the same CPUs.

The PC Mark Vantage world record stands at 10,849 with the E8600 and at 14,046 with the QX9770. The system was using a Gigabyte P45 Extreme motherboard, two Intel SSD drives in a RAID 0 configuration and an ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 graphics card.
