Samsung debuts Pixon, a new 8 megapixel phone with a large 3.2" touch screen. Pixon features quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, 3.2" display with 240 x 400 pixel resolution, 8 megapixel camera with auto focus, dual power LED flash, shake reduction and 16x digital zoom, 30fps 720 x 480 pixel and 120 fps QVGA video recording, MP3 support, FM radio, surround sound, Bluetooth 2.0, TV-out and 200MB internal memory.
Being the world’s slimmest full-touch 8-megapixel camera phone, the Samsung Pixon boasts a 13.8mm slim design as well as many other great features. Not only does the outside look just like an actual camera, the Samsung Pixon also takes pictures like one with its x16 digital zoom, auto-focus, fast-shutter, face detection and geo-tagging.

Yet, the Samsung Pixon is even better than an actual camera as it also comes with a 3.2 inch full-touch screen and integrated Photo Browser which allows fantastically easy photo sharing and viewing.

The Samsung Pixon will completely satisfy those who are tired of camera-phones which look like cameras but have only a passing resemblance to a camera’s functions.

More details at Akihabara News. The Samsung Pixon will be available in select countries in mid-October.
