MSI PR621 business notebook released

MSI unveiled a new business notebook based on the Intel Centrino 2 platform with vPro technology. Here's an overview of the new features of the MSI PR621 laptop:

Intel Centrino2 offers with vPro™ Technology - Maximum Security - Quarantine for infected notebooks
MSI PR621 offers quarantine for infected notebooks that are connected to a network. The OS can be disconnected from the network and an out-of-band (OOB) communication channel to deploy remediation software can be used. After solving the problem, MSI PR621 can be connected back onto the network. This leads to a minimal interruption of the user’s productivity.

- Protects against many classes of malicious attacks By using Execute Disable Bit, MSI PR621 provides hardware-based anti-virus protection.
- Blocks incoming threats proactively
The MSI PR621 provides hardware-based inbound and outbound filtering to identify and stop incoming threats before they ever reach the OS.
- Ensures that critical applications are always up and running With a "watchdog" timer that works with third-party security applications, the system monitors an application and makes sure it is up and running.

Fingerprint Reader for Data Security
With the MSI PR621 you’ll never again have to memorize usernames and passwords to access your notebook. Just press your finger on to the fingerprint reader to unlock. The notebook will only be unlocked if it recognizes your unique fingerprint.

Port Replicator
MSI PR621 provides a business-applicable port replicator. It offers full extension ports and cable managing service. Cables for external monitor, mouse, internet, power, printer, ear phones, can be connected to this port replicator. Moreover it is equipped with a security cable function which guarantees the security via this port replicator for the port replicator as well as the notebook.
