CUDA could make NVIDIA big bucks in 2010

Posted on Thursday, October 09 2008 @ 03:17:55 CEST by

GPU computing is expected to add only $50 to $100 million to NVIDIA's bottomline in 2009, but according to FUD Zilla this could grow substantially in 2010:
On the long term, CUDA might be the next source of income for Nvidia but in whole 2009, it might earn 50 to $100 million, which is a joke, compared to what company makes on graphics chip sales for gaming and multi media.

Things should become better in 2010 where these numbers should grow substantially and CUDA is a long-term investment for Nvidia. The GPU computational market is something that Nvidia does very well and we’ve see that GPU can be faster than a CPU in this things.
