FUD Zilla claims the cheapest Intel Lynnfield will still cost around $200 when it arrives on the market in Q3 2009:
This means that apart of fitting to P55 boards, which will most definitely be much cheaper than X58 the CPU itself won’t really get much cheaper than Core i7.

The cheapest Core i7 920 will sell for $284 at launch and it will work at 2.66 GHz. This CPU in its lower segment will replace Q8200 and Q8300 quad cores, the ones that just replaced Q6600 super popular quad core.

The most expensive Lynnfield quad core with eight threads will cost around $560 at launch and will sit shoulder to shoulder with Core i7 940.
