Dell Inspiron Mini 12 netbook debuts

Dell announced out its Inspiron Mini 12, one of the first netbooks with a 12.1" WXGA LCD display. This system will be available by late November with a price starting under $600. The Inspiron Mini 12 will offer 1.33GHz Atom Z520 and 1.6GHz Atom Z530 processors, 1GB RAM memory, 60GB or 80GB HDD, built-in webcam, built-in Bluetooth, 802.11b/g WiFi and Windows Vista Home Basic.

The Inspiron Mini 12 has a starting weight of only 2.72lbs and is just 0.92" thick. Dell says Inspiron Mini 12 systems with Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP will be available before the end of the year.
