HTC announced it's raising shipment forecasts for the G1 and Touch Diamond phones, despite the harsh economic climate. The smartphone maker expects it will ship one million T-Mobile G1 and three million Touch Diamond phones by year's end.
Chou denied rumors that HTC is facing decreased orders and will lay off staff, claiming that HTC's business has not been influenced by the global economic recession. Chou also revealed that HTC is planning to acquire a handset design company in the US but did not give any further details.
