Goldman Sachs: motherboard shipments to drop 15%

Investment bank Goldman Sachs estimates motherboard shipments will drop 15 percent quarter-to-quarter in Q4 2008:
Although some market watchers expect Intel's Core i7 processors to boost PC demand, the report contended that high pricing of the new platform will stall any impact on demand. Overall desktop PC shipments will fall by over 10%, added the paper.
