Both cards feature 55nm GPUs and VR Zone partly confirms the GTX 295 specifications Expreview unveiled today. While the GeForce GTX 295 is a dual-GPU card with two 55nm GT200 GPUs, the GeForce GTX 285 will be a 55nm replacement of the GeForce GTX 280.
According to the official data VR-Zone has seen, GeForce GTX 295 card has dual 55nm GT200 GPUs and 1792MB GDDR3 memories on 896-bit memory interface. The rest of the specs like number of shader processors and clocks speeds are listed as TBA. As for GeForce GTX 285, it is a replacement for the current GeForce GTX 280 card with a 55nm GT200 GPU with higher clocks.The site also reports NVIDIA released design kits of the GeForce GTX 260 to graphics card makers, self-designed cards are expected in Q1 2009. The current GeForce GTX 280 cards will reach EOL (end-of-life) next month.
