The Dell Adamo will compete against Apple's thin MacBook Air and according to Electronista the notebook may feature a DisplayPort and eSATA. The latter one will enable Dell to introduce several peripherals, like a 2x Blu-ray combo drive and 250GB/500GB SATA drives.
Other sources indicate the Adamo may be relatively affordable, with a price tag of around $1,500:
Beyond peripherals, the system is also said by claimed sources of TGDaily's to cost significantly less than the $3,000 target suggested in a leak just on Thursday. The quoted price is now characterized as an upper-range figure and that the actual starting cost will be closer to $1,500, or $300 less than Apple's base system. Specifications for this base system aren't available but should involve a low-voltage Core 2 Duo and may also bundle an external DVD burner.Rumour has it that Dell will introduce Adamo at CES 2009, and that availability will follow in February.
