Dell announced it will release the 22" G2210 and 24" G2410 next month, both units are LED-backlit LCD displays that promise a typical power consumption of less than half that of comparable flat panel displays, and less than 0.15W in sleep mode. Additionally, the LED-backlit panels are 20 percent slimmer and 28 percent lighter than comparable models.

The G2210 has a 1680 x 1050 pixel resolution and the G2410 has 1920 x 1080 pixels. Both panels feature a 5ms black-to-white response time, 250 nits brightness, 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. They both have a VGA and DVI-D with HDCP connector, the typical power consumption of the G2210 is 18W and the G2410 uses 20W. The G2210 and G2410 will be available for $279 and $359, respectively.
