New Red Alert 3: Uprising details released

EA unveiled some additional details about stand-alone Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 expansion Uprising:
-Uprising WILL HAVE TRADITIONAL SKIRMISH MODE, so you will be able to play against the AI with the new units that have been added to each of the 3 factions. We're also adding a huge number of new maps. While this expansion add-on has a huge central focus on single player, we were able to incorporate traditional skirmish. See below for further explanation.

-The Commander's Challenge which features over 50 different scenarios is very similar to the General's Challenge Mode. It is not, and I repeat not simply an achievement based mode. This is an entirely separate component of Uprising comprised of over 50 different challenges which are almost like mini-missions with different objectives and challenges.

-While Red Alert 3 base game is still in its infancy, its important to us to continually give the game strong support with patches, tournaments, etc as it continues to evolve. Our objective with Uprising was not to quickly add a 4th faction to online play. We decided we would try something new and create a campaign expansion that delivered on exactly what many in the community asked for in our research - new UNIITS AND STORY. Uprising provides a continuation of the story line for each of the 3 factions, plus we’ve added a 4th mini-campaign which will be centered around the newest commando, Yuriko. We think you guys will really enjoy the Yuriko campaign and agree that it plays out like nothing you've seen before in a Command & Conquer game. While co-op nor multiplayer are not included with Uprising, we absolutely haven't forgotten our multiplayer audience and will have more info in the coming months ahead.

-Uprising will include a large amount of new multiplayer maps for skirmish play, which we will also make available in near future patches for the Red Alert 3 base game as well. That is pretty cool.

-Uprising will be available for digital download at first release through the EA Store this March, but please rest assured we are looking in to other distribution models which does include retail

-We have not determined the suggested retail price yet for Uprising, but part of the reason why we decided to become a digital download was so that we could pass some of the savings onto all of you out there. We realize that times are tough, so we are making sure that Uprising will be a great value and something that any Command & Conquer fan can afford. More on the exact price in the weeks to come.
