ThermalTake unveiled 350W, 450W and 500W Litepower series power supplies. These affordable units all feature an efficiency of over 80% and the 450W model even has a 80 PLUS Bronze rating.
Thermaltake Technology, the global brand of computer components, today announced its newest addition to the Litepower series, available in three models: 350W, 450W, 500W. All three models are certified by 80 PLUS Program and the 450W model is even certified as 80plus Bronze ready to bring users the benefit of 80plus at much friendlier prices. Without coating on the housing, the 80plus-certified mid-range Litepower series is specially designed to provide system builders with a simple, concise, and highly efficient power supply.

As more and more people are now demanding for energy-saving PCs that can help to lower their electricity bills, it is important to have a highly efficient power supply unit that has 80% or higher energy efficiency rate at 20%, 50%, and 100% of loading, plus power factor of 0.9 or greater. Besides, the 80 PLUS Program has already announced some higher standards of efficiency including 80 PLUS Bronze. The 80 PLUS Bronze standard certifies PSU that has 82%, 85%, and 82% or higher energy efficiency rate at 20%, 50%, and 100% of loading, respectively. This requirement makes an 80 PLUS Bronze certified power supply considerably more efficient than traditional 80 PLUS certified power supplies.

To provide users with a mid-range PSU at higher efficiency, all Litepower 350W, 450W, and 500W models are certified by 80 PLUS Program and the 450W model is even certified as 80plus Bronze ready. Besides, with the use of Active Power Factor Correction, the power factor can reach 0.99 to minimize electrical waste for effective energy use and money saving.

Scheduled to be available on the market in Q1 2009, the Litepower 350W, 450W, and 500W models come with dual independent & dedicated +12V rails to provide outstanding and steady output for user’s system. Besides, the PSU supports Dual Core CPU / Quad Core CPU / NVIDIA SLI & Quad SLI and all Multi-Core GPU technologies, has a MTBF of over 100,000 hours, and also complies with Intel ATX 12V 2.3. All Litepower 350W / 450W / 500W provide continuous full output power. Thermaltake believes the new Litepower series will be the best choice for worldwide PC DIY consumers!
