Within eight days NVIDIA will launch its Nforce 4 PCI Express chipset, and ATI is also close to release an AMD PCI Express chipset. VIA on the other hand has already launched their first PCI Express chipset for AMD processors.

In the second half of 2005 chipset producer SiS is said to launch its first chipset that will support two PCI Express graphics cards, the SiS 756FX.
It will be pin compatible with its soon to be introduced 756 chipset and will feature Athlon 64/Opteron support, 1000MHz Hyper Transport, Cool 'n Quiet and will match together with 966 south bridge.

It will be sampled in Q2 2005 while production is expected in Q3 2005 - almost year from now and almost three quarters later than the other players.

756 will be exactly the same chipset apart from having only one PCIe graphics slot and it's already sampling. Multiple production is expected in November, as we reported earlier. It's all a little late
