FUD Zilla reports NVIDIA is preparing the GT218, a new entry-level GPU that may be the company's first 40nm card. The site claims the chip will replace the GeForce 9500 GS and GT cards, and states it will have a sub-22W TDP.
The chip comes in a 23mm package, it is developed in 40nm, and this is the chip that is mainly targeted for OEMs who desperately want a new Geforce for their autumn PC line-up.

Someone at Nvidia explained that GT1xx renames of Geforce 9000 series were intended for OEMs who couldn't wait for the new chip but they still wanted to present the new Nvidia offerings for their new PCs.
The NVIDIA GT218 will reportedly arrive in April 2009.
