MSI claims it has introduced the most affordable X58 motherboard on the market: the MSI X58 Pro. Unfortunately, their press release didn't include any price details so we don't know how affordable it actually is.

This full spec mainboard is based on the latest Intel® X58 + ICH10R chipset that supports the Intel® Core i7 processor, along with ultra-high bandwidth QPI (Quick Path Interconnect) transmission and high-speed 6 DIMM’s 3-channel DDR3 memory. The main features of MSI X58 Pro Series are the 2nd generation MSI DrMOS and MSI APS, which improve the board’s power efficiency.
Insist on DrMOS
In order to maximize the performance and provide a stable power supply, MSI X58 Pro is equipped with the 2nd generation true 5-phase DrMOS power design and APS (Active Phase Switching) technology, which is the only OS independent power saver on the market. Recently Tom’s Hardware proved (in its P45 efficiency test) that unlike other solutions, both MSI DrMOS and MSI APS really help to save power.

Three PCIe x16 graphics slots
MSI X58 Pro is equipped with three dual-slot PCI Express x16 graphics slots; offering the possibility of multi-graphics operations, such as ATI 3-way CrossFireX and Nvidia 3-way SLI, enhancing the 3D frame rate to a higher level.

Optimal cooling and overclocking
For efficient cooling, the heatpipe of MSI X58 Pro comes with a split thermal system. This system prevents the chipset to transfer heat to the PWM. Because of its unique power efficiency, MSI DrMOS keeps the PWM cool by itself. This helps the overclocker to achieve higher OC results during benchmarks. Other hardware-based overclocking features on MSI X58 Pro are Easy OC Switch and Easy Button. By entering the BIOS, overclockers can also make use of Memory-Z, advanced CPU Specifications and the MSI unique M-Flash, which helps to boot a 2nd BIOS from a USB stick.

Plug & Play onboard eSATA interface for storage expansion
The MSI X58 Pro comes with an onboard eSATA interface, adopting the concept of plug & play storage. Unlike other eSATA bracket solutions, MSI X58 Pro is designed with onboard eSATA on rear I/O which provides a direct link to an extra storage chip and Intel chipset. So no extra cable or brackets are needed, which results in a better signal and higher transfer speed. Other convenient features on MSI X58 Pro are the M-connectors, FireWire and the Easy Button for a quick reset of the mainboard.
