Eurocom working on Core i7 workstation notebook

FUD Zilla spotted Canadian PC retailer Eurocom is going to release an Intel Core i7 based laptop on May 1st. The firm claims this high-end workstation notebook will be the fastest 17" mobile system on the market.
Taking a look at the impressive specs confirms this claim. Core i7 920, 940 and 965 processors are to be used. On the graphics side, Nvidia's G280, 9800GTX and Quadro FX3700 GPUs will make sure you never drop a frame.

It will feature a 17-inch WUXGA 1920x1200 or WSXGA+ 1600x1050 screen, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and up to 1.5TB of storage on three 500GB drives with RAID 0,1,5 support.

Obviously, such a machine can't be light, or cheap for that matter, and at 5.4kg/11.9lbs and over $5000, it's neither.

Problem is that heat kills - slowly but it kills. And 130W TDP cpu's are going to take a toll on the system.

On the pro side, while it lasts, it'll be the fastest laptop on earth :)
