FUD Zilla heard it will take until the end of February before most Socket AM3 motherboards will show up because there were some performance related issues. The site says it won't be hard to find Socket AM3 boards at CeBIT next month, but suggests the first ones might be slower than the DDR2 ones.
We wrote earlier that many AM3 motherboards faced some performance related issues, and that both AMD 790FX and 790GX boards in AM3 might be delayed a bit. The original plan was to launch the boards together with AM3 boards, but many AM3 boards will be delayed, at least until the end of the month.

AM3 versions of Phenom II, both quad and three-core will launch on Monday and there will be a few boards to match this CPU at launch, while more will come a few weeks later.
