FUD Zilla reports Intel plans to release a new single-core Atom processor with integrated memory controller and graphics in Q1 2010.
Despite the fact that the new dual core Atom, codenamed Pineview is coming in Q4 2009, the single core one won't arrive before Q1 2010. Intel’s VP was very clear saying that the dual core is a cheap desktop thing and it doesn’t look like Intel will allow the new Pineview DC in the next generation netbooks. New netbooks might start showing as of Q1 2010 and if Intel allows dual cores in netbooks, you might see the new ones in Q4 2009.

Once it comes out, the single core Pineview SC will come with a display interface, integrated memory controller and graphics on board and we are very sure that this is also a Multi chip package approach.
