NVIDIA GeForce 179.48 beta for notebooks released

Posted on Thursday, February 12 2009 @ 22:49:33 CET by

NVIDIA has unveiled a new set of GeForce 179.48 beta drivers for notebooks, you can get it over here. However, it doesn't work with BenQ Joybook S42, Dell Vostro, Fujitsu, Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xi 3650, Lenovo ThinkPad and Sony VAIO notebooks. If you have one of these notebooks you'll need to stick to the drivers that you can find on the site of your notebook vendor, and hope that they'll update them on a regular schedule.
This is a reference driver that can be installed on supported NVIDIA GeForce notebook GPUs. However, please note that your notebook original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides certified drivers for your specific notebook on their website. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook. OEMs may not provide technical support for issues that arise from the use of this driver.
