XFastest has published the first set of photos and benchmark results of the upcoming RAMPAGE II Gene microATX X58 motherboard from ASUS.

The Rampage II Gene uses the Intel X58 + ICH10R chipsets and has six DDR3-2000 memory slots. There are two PCI Express x16 slots with support for ATI CrossFire and SLI, along with one PCI Express x4 slot and one PCI slot. It also has Gigabit Ethernet, integrated 7.1 channel Creative X-Fi audio, seven SATA 2 ports, one eSATA port and one IDE port for up to two PATA devices.

The article over at XFastest contains some benchmark results, and for the laughs of it they installed the massive CoolerMaster V10 processor cooler on this tiny motherboard. This CPU cooler occupies more than half of the area of this microATX motherboard.
