The Foundry Company may have many clients

FUD Zilla claims there are many potential clients for AMD's spun off fabs, which will be known as The Foundry Company. This somewhat contradicts an earlier report which stated demand for cutting-edge foundry capacity is not that high, as the number of companies moving to smaller geometries gets smaller by each technology node. However, according to the rumor site, potential clients may include Freescale and several other US based semiconductor design firms.
Most of the chip manufacturers have at least talked to The Foundry Company and they want to take advantage of its bulk process at some point.

Freescale's top man, Executive VP Henry Richard, himself an ex-AMD man, has probably talked with his previous colleagues at The Foundry Company. Henry, who worked as Executive VP of marketing at AMD, knows what AMD manufacturing is capable off, and he probably wants to start making Freescale's own chips there sooner rather than later.
