ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4860 performance preview (video)

AMD uploaded a video that illustrates the power of the new 40nm ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4860 and 4830 notebook graphics cards. The video below compares the performance of the Mobility Radeon HD 4860 with the Mobility Radeon HD 4850. The 3DMark06 benchmark was ran on two desktop systems using Moblity Radeon MXM modules, because no notebooks are currently shipping with the Mobility Radeon HD 4860. Both systems featured the AMD Phenom X4 9950, MSI K9A2 Platinum 790FX motherboard, 2GB OCZ Gold Edition XTC memory, Seagate HDD and Windows Vista 32-bit SP1.

The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 scored 8647 3DMarks, while the new Radeon HD 4860 pulled in 9302 3DMarks.
