Word is out on the streets that the first ARM-based netbook platforms from Qualcomm and Freescale will be launched at Computex Taipei in June.
A model equipped with Freescale's i.MX51 CPU (ARM Coretex A8) and manufactured by Pegatron Technology, and a model with Qualcomm's Snapdragon CPU and manufactured by Wistron will both appear at Computex Taipei 2009, while Nvidia Tegra-based models will appear at a later time.

Micro-Star International (MSI) has reportedly expressed interest in developing Tegra-based products, while the company and Asustek Computer have both confirmed that they are evaluating the possibility of launching Qualcomm CPU-based netbooks.
Yesterday an analyst predicted 55 percent of the netbook market may shift towards ARM-based systems by 2012.
