NVIDIA MCP82 XE for AMD AM3 processors to arrive this month

VR Zone reports NVIDIA will launch the MCP82 XE chipset later this month as the nForce 980a SLI. This is basically the same chipset as the MCP 72XE, but with support for the latest AMD Socket AM3 processors on both DDR2 and DDR3 motherboards.
MCP82 supports PCIe 2.0, HT 3.0, Tri/Quad SLI, Hybrid SLI, 12 USB 2.0, 6 SATA 3Gb/s ports, Gigabit Ethernet, HD Audio etc. MCP82XE is rated at 20W TDP in mGPU mode, 22W TDP in Hybrid mode and 9W TDP in idle mode.
