Intel and Harman Becker engineers have created a concept of a BMW X5 with an Intel Atom based Car PC. The system offers 3D navigation, speech recognition and 3G/UMTS or WiFi Internet connectivity.

The Car PC has e-mail, SMS and MMS communication and can play modern audio and video file formats without a problem. Another interesting aspect is the power efficiency, according to the engineers the Atom-based system uses only 25 percent of the power consumption of conventional Car PCs. More info at PC Max, there's a video at their site but unfortunately it's all in German.
