The global motherboard shipments in the second quarter of 2009 are forecast to drop 10-15% on quarter because downstream vendors have been double booking their orders in the first quarter, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times.
One of the first-tier motherboard makers, Gigabyte Technology, has pointed out that demand is weakening in March this year, as several clients have started halting their motherboard orders, added the paper.
